LUCKNOW : In the present global situation, the birth of ICN Bharat is like the birth of Krishna on the dark stormy night in the month of Bhado. When the whole world is busy playing chess with the bloody politics of its own selfish interests, Indian culture is the only window through which the possibility of light and life is still alive.
Policy of society is more important than policy of politics. Society is not run by politics but by social policy only. Society runs through harmony, through harmony, through freedom and through equality. The literal meaning of politics may be something else, but today the word ‘politics’ has become a national and international idiom and negativity has become associated with this word at almost every level.
- In the same sequence, whatever the literal meaning of the word ‘Bharat’ (India) may be, but today ‘Bharat is also an international idiom, but positivity is illuminated at every level with this word. Today, the whole world recognises that Bharat stands for generosity, tolerance, harmony, humanity, and friendship. Bharat means prudence, penance, and compassion. When artillery fires in any part of the world, India suffers. Whether hunger walks in Pakistan, dances in Bangladesh or laughs in the Gaza Strip, Bharat’s eyes become moist. We have very good relations with many countries; there are some countries with which we have ideological differences, but we have always stood for humanity. We consider the whole world as our family, and it is our sacrament to share our plate with the guest without going through his nationality, colour or religion. Just as sunshine, rain, and wind do not accept any boundaries,
Sometimes I wonder how can a man-made religion among the divine creations discriminate on the basis of gender, place, colour and style. The time has come when we must unanimously ensure that religion is for man, man is not for religion at all. We live our lives not according to religion but according to our circumstances and our development and our economy determine our direction.
Today when neighbouring countries Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh are burning in the flames of civil war, they openly reject the domestic and religious policies of their respective countries and at the same time put their unconditional stamp on the relevance of Indian domestic policy.
When the world is knocking on the door of the third world war sliding down the slippery slope of the long wars of Russia and Ukraine and Israel and Palestine, ICN Bharat as a peace forum will give the message of stability to the unstable world and I believe that we will be able to make Indianness more relevant, authentic and vocal in the international context.
